In alignment with our pursuit of building stronger institutions, we create platforms for engaging the key player in government and relevant authorities in profitable dialogues around policy development and implementation that fosters the overall improvement in the livelihood or situation surrounding major social gaps in terms of quality education, child marriage, child hawking, rape, molestation etc.
The Roundtable, whose purpose embodies the aforementioned was held Oct 2020 with the attendance of the Commission for Education, Kano State etc.
Educating the girl child is one of our focus areas and in doing that, we try to address the problems truncating the education of these girls. In furtherance of our project ‘from streets to classrooms ‘’ which is aimed at reducing the number of out of school children, we organised a roundtable discussion in October to address the girl child emerging challenges pre, during and post covid 19 which came up after a study carried out in 18 local governments of Kano state from surveying and documenting firsthand experiences of girls. The roundtable discussion had in attendance the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board(SUBEB), the commissioners of education, health, women affairs and information, UNICEF and Foreign commonwealth and development office
