Jangirde Drive

We commit a Civil Society Organisation not to just provide charitable means to solving the problems identified in our core areas of focus but long term approach and solutions. We understand that aside from the inability for some children to afford quality education due to poverty, many also face the challenge of no access to education due to the nonexistence of schooling facility around their locality either due to act of terrorism, poor infrastructure or having to travel several kilometres before they access any school.

The Jangirde Drive as it means in Fulani is an open-air learning Initiative we started in 2019 for aid communities bereft of any access to formal education, who many don’t have a single school in the entire environs. With our units of volunteer teachers, we embark on an outreach programme where we teach the children in the communities basic literacy skills of Maths and English as often as once or twice a week consistently over time. We have been able so far to establish an impactful presence in 5 communities of Adamawa and Borno state: Kwaya Kusar, Kala’a, Dikwa, Lamorde, and Micika.
