Lift Africa is Civic and Social Organisation whose works is laden around a passionate commitment to empowering the most vulnerable and marginalized people especially in Africa. Over the course of our 3 years of existence, we have set our sight to impacting society through various initiative strategically developed in addressing key aspect of societal misfortunes with an intention to eradicate all forms of discrimination, human rights abuse, societal neglect; thus inspiring a world where every individual regardless of gender, ethnicity, or age is treated with respect and dignity. Our motivation for inspiring change is that essential commodities for a progressive society are made readily available; where there is access to quality education, human rights are respect and justice is duly served. A society where diversity is embraced, absence of poverty with no one having to suffer from hunger, violence or deprive of care.

Aysha Hamman

CEO Lift Africa foundation

Aisha is a lawyer, humanitarian and enterprise management expert with 8years of combined experience in the Legal and Non-profit sector. For the past few years since the inception of Lift Africa Foundation, she has championed the course of the selfless service rendered by the organization in marginalized and rural communities with an effort tasked to reduce the out-of-school children, reduce inequalities, challenge human rights violations and fight diverse forms of abuse and injustice meted at women and girls. A libertarian, who as well as a testimony of resistance to early child marriage having to stand up for her right to be educated and determine a future she wants and desire with a full complement of her choice; she is immensely passionate to see many more women, girls and all children regardless of the social class have the opportunity to transform their lives, live and pursue their dream without the hindrance of stereotypes, tradition, poor economy and lack of opportunity. Since she founded Lift Africa, she leads the organization's course progressively, expanding its reach, growth and influence right from the pilot project - Streets 2 Classrooms in 2018, unrelentingly widening the scope and success of the organization with new ideas/initiatives, building a network of support, a team of volunteers, partners and an active community of people who the organization consistent serves. Aisha Currently seats on the Executive Board of Pan African Emerging Leaders Initiative, Managing Partner at Hamman Attorneys and was a Delegate at the UNYA, United Nations Sustainable Development Group (2018 - 2020). Aisha advocates on avenues for tackling pressing issues in the continent of Africa with creative and effective solutions, building a network of leaders saddled with the responsibility of creating solutions for ongoing problems through exchange and network of ideas and best practices.

PROF. USMAN MUHAMMAD SHU’AIB (ZUNNURAIN)

LLB (BUK); LLM (BUK); LLM (Essex, UK); Ph.D (ABU)​

A Professor of law with over 2 decades of experience in academia, legal practice and community service. With his vast experience in teaching, research and community outreach for promoting social justice, Prof. Usman is the Co-founder of Funtua Community Foundation for Health Education, an NGO that develops and implements skills acquisition and relief outreach programs for female health workers in Northern Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the Ford Foundation International Fellowship Program and prominent among the youth opinion leaders in Northern Nigeria. Thus, he participated in the International Visitors Leadership Programs (IVLP) of the United State. He has also, over the years, participated and made presentations at several national and international conferences. Professor Usman is currently the Dean of Law, Bayero University, Kano and National President of National Association of Law Teachers (NALT).

ALKASIM MUHAMMAD ZANGINA

Alkasim Muhammad is a private-public sector development expert with over eleven (12) years of professional experience. He is currently a stakeholder engagement consultant for Technical Assistant to Office of the Vice President on SDGs, also Business development and Innovation unite lead for To-Be-Connected Nigeria, a social enterprises business platform, He also saved as community and stakeholder engagement consultant for Digital development Hub for North East project, Alkasim was contracted between in 2015 by Northern Nigeria Skills Development (DFID/MAFITA) – a DFID funded program. His core responsibility with MAFITA was to facilitate the development of informal skills amongst youth across the targeted states including Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states. Haven worked with DFID/GEMS1 as a Business Development Officer (BDO) 2012 -2015, Alkasim has facilitated the development and transformation of several trade associations from ordinary association to business associations. He has facilitated capacity building for BMOs, assisted in identifying, defining and planning advocacy activities for BMOs in Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Abia, and Lagos states respectively. It has been within his experience to liaise between projects and client associations, ensure relationships between business interests and maintain healthy relationships between businesses and supporting organizations including DFID, USAID and Country Embassies working to support growth and development in Nigeria. Alkasim is also conversant with public sector administration. He has worked with the Kano State Government as protocol officer at governor's office Kano state as Assistant chief of protocols, where his activities were diplomatic relations at state and federal level, and as well management of public-private sector business relationship.

Emmanuel spearheads the design and implementation of all Lift Africa programmes and projects to a targeted end result using his highly efficient and pragmatic prowess to getting this done. He is a season corporate lawyer, a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and specializes in the broad aspects of commercial and corporate law. A business development expert with huge accomplishment coming along his budding career as legal attorney wherewith he cofounded or started a couple of organization and initiative.

An expert Financial Accounting professional with vast experience working in diverse fields and levels of operations in the business-corporate landscape. He oversees Lift Africa's financial books with great level of meticulous scrutiny as should our management of funds be discreet and with integrity. Sadiq is an individual given to community development and loves to be part of movements that serves the needs of the less privileged.

Zainab is An Agricultural Economist with 5 years experience in food security and vulnerability analysis, including familiarity with different methodologies and indicators. Her focus is Food security and Nutritional analysis in humanitarian and development contexts, capacity and technical development.
